I've used all four inputs now and then, but I could survive on two. If I go that route, though, I'd love to get an interface with audio and MIDI, since I'm also stuck using a parallel-port MOTU midi interface that hates Linux to a degree. It's also got a scratchy output jack (though maybe DeOxit will help there).
